The Interview
The industry is at a turning point. What opportunities do you see?
The industry is at a turning point with significant potential for new market reach. New ideas are born, but too few are pursued. However, this potential remains largely untapped due to a reluctance to move away from traditional funding models. There’s a perceived risk in being daring and embracing more commercial productions. This has created a stalemate: the traditional Swedish funding model is struggling, and very few are successfully securing production financing from other sources. The biggest opportunity lies in breaking this stalemate by pioneering new, sustainable commercial models.
What’s the common thread in your work?
My focus is on identifying patterns, anticipating risk, and developing tools to overcome challenges. I thrive on solving complex problems. When operations become too smooth and “business as usual” sets in, I tend to get bored. My drive comes from navigating and resolving issues.

What do you bring to Tulpa?
I bring an understanding of daily operations and a focus on developing new paths forward. I identify the core scope that needs focus and work on building a long-term plan. In short, my role is to establish a robust strategy for Tulpa as we navigate uncharted territory. Internally, to look at our combined strengths and how to best utilize our qualities.
How did your journey with Tulpa begin?
It began with advisory calls with the CEO, Simon. The more we delved into Tulpa’s world, the more I was drawn in. The innovative, newcomer feeling of an underdog company rising up felt like the right place to be and to further develop. Tulpa is in the buzz for a reason, and something good is about to come out of that — which I want to be part of.
Three words to describe yourself?
Analytical, strategic, versatile.
What motivates you?
I am driven by results and thrive in environments focused on development, challenges, and implementing solutions. “Business as usual” is only for short breaks between these dynamic periods. Being able to make changes, see your plan and ideas work is the greatest of things to achieve.
Who has influenced your leadership style?
Many have influenced me along the way. My leadership style is shaped by a problem-solving approach and leading by example. Strategically, I’ve been influenced by various CEOs I’ve worked with, including Simon himself, who is an excellent visionary with a sharp ability to see what needs to be done.

What does sustainable growth mean for Tulpa?
It means executing its long-term plan with the right resources in place. A key priority has been to fill that resource gap, which has been achieved by recruiting new partners with unique, front-line competencies in their respective fields. I do believe we have one of the most robust teams right now.
How do you see your role in the years to come?
To develop and manage the company’s operational backbone, ensuring all parts work together seamlessly. A key focus is mitigating problems before they impact us — understanding that while you can’t predict every issue, you can pave a way that anticipates most of them. And to further understand the world of movie/TV productions and see where that leads me, personally and professionally.
